Tour Itinerary
Begin your magnificent 15 days tour from Casablanca, where upon your arrival at Casablanca airport, one of our representatives will meet and assist you right at the entrance. Following this warm welcome, they will escort you to your hotel.
We begin our tour with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, a symbol of Casablanca's spiritual heritage. From there, we journey towards Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, to explore the Oudayas Kasbah. This historical fortress is renowned for its picturesque garden and surrounding vistas. Our next destination is the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, situated beside the Hassan Tower—an unfinished mosque that stands as a testament to the architectural ambition of Yaqub al-Mansour, the third Caliph of the Almohad dynasty, who initiated its construction in 1195 and continued until his death in 1199.
After bidding farewell to this imperial city, we proceed to the old Medina of Fes, the cultural heart of Morocco. Your adventure through this ancient city will conclude with a drop-off at your Riad/Hotel, immersing you in the authentic Moroccan experience.
After breakfast, we embark on a journey through time, traveling 294 km from Casablanca to the cultural heart of Morocco, Fes. Globally celebrated as the 'Educational City,' Fes is renowned for hosting the oldest university in the world, El-Qarawiyyin, founded around 859 by the visionary Fatima El Fihri. This city not only prides itself on its rich educational history but also showcases a mesmerizing blend of Arabo-Islamic and Andalusian architecture, offering a glimpse into its storied past.
Our exploration continues to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, providing insights into the diverse cultural fabric of Fes. As day three of our adventure concludes, we escort you back to your riad or hotel, where you can reflect on the day's discoveries and rest for the night.
The sun on day 4 spreads its aura over Meknes as we head toward Moulay Idriss. This site is nestled between two hills and was the base of Idris I, the first major Islamic ruler of Morocco. Our next stop is Volubilis, a site that is literally a time machine. It is a Berber city located near Meknes, established as the capital city of Mauritania in the 3rd century B.C., and it became an important outpost of the Roman Empire. Taking advantage of our visit to Meknes, we also visit the architectural heritage of the Bab Al Mansour gate.
As the cheerful chirping of birds fills the morning air, we embark on our journey to Merzouga. Along the way, we visit Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco'. Locally, it is referred to as the 'Lion City' due to its emblem. Unlike the historical cities of Fes and Meknes, Ifrane's architecture is distinctly modern. Our next stop is Midelt, celebrated as the 'city of apples', nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. In winter, the city is enveloped in a snowy-white blanket, offering the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities.
As the wind carries the scent of the desert, we catch a glimpse of Errachidia, known as the gateway to the Moroccan desert, on the horizon. Continuing our journey, we pass through Erfoud en route to Merzouga, a desert town famed for its golden dunes. Many visitors are drawn to Merzouga for a sand bath, believed to possess healing properties for the joints. Watching the sunset behind the dunes offers a breathtaking experience that enchants and captivates many tourists.
Being in Merzouga offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in desert life, particularly through its music. Khamlia Village, brimming with talented musicians specializing in traditional Moroccan music, promises to inspire and introduce you to a new world of musical experience. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch in the heart of the desert, dining with the locals. Next, you'll have the chance to ride camels across the dunes to Erg Chebbi. After all, what’s the essence of a desert visit without a camel ride? In Erg Chebbi, we'll revel in the breathtaking sunset before spending the night in a Berber camp, under a sky glittering with stars.
After enjoying a breakfast infused with desert flavors, we set out for the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Chrif in Rissani, an area renowned for its fossil market. Our journey continues to the Todra Gorges, situated 467 kilometers from Casablanca. En route to Todra, we traverse diverse terrains, including the Saghro Mountain (2,500m), Mgoun Mountain (4,068m), and finally, Toubkal Mountain, the highest peak in Morocco. Todra Gorge, a masterpiece of natural sculpture, is carved as the Todra River cuts through two towering mountain walls. This area is distinguished by its cool summer weather and a rich diversity of wildlife. This scenic exploration is part of our 15 days tour from Casablanca.
On day 8, we embark on a journey to the Dades Valley. En route, we take the opportunity to explore several Kasbahs, offering a glimpse into Morocco's rich history and architectural heritage. Our journey also takes us through Boumalne, a quaint village where the locals sustain themselves through agriculture. Further along the road lies Kelaat M'Gouna, renowned as the Valley of Roses. This town is celebrated for its rose-derived products. Next, we head to Ouarzazate, affectionately dubbed the 'Hollywood of Africa.' Ouarzazate has served as the backdrop for numerous famous movies, including 'Gladiator' and 'Game of Thrones,' among others. Besides its cinematic fame, Ouarzazate is steeped in history, boasting many Kasbahs, including the notable Kasbah of Taourirt. After a day of exploration, we retire for the night at a local hotel.
After breakfast, we resume our journey, heading towards Ait Benhaddou Village, located 35 km from Ouarzazate. This village stands out for its quintessential desert theme, underscored by the surrounding sands. Ouarzazate continues to surprise with its endless capacity to fascinate, offering new wonders at every glance. As we bid farewell to Ait Benhaddou, our next destination awaits: Taroudant.
As we depart from the desert climate of Ouarzazate, the breeze carries with it the scent of the Atlantic Ocean, heralding our approach to Taroudant. Known as the gateway to Agadir, Taroudant charms with its pleasant weather and the humble kindness of its people. Our journey continues to Agadir, a touristic jewel of the west. Agadir stands as a proud emblem of the Sous region, famed for its Argan trees and the delightful Amlo, a traditional spread made from Argan oil, honey, and almonds. The beaches of Agadir are truly spectacular, offering an experience you're sure to cherish. Our next destination is Mogador, or Essaouira, where the city's architecture, paired with the azure of the ocean, creates the illusion of living within a portrait.
Day 11 offers a day of free exploration on your 15 days tour from Casablanca. This is your chance to wander the alleys of Essaouira and discover its charms at your own pace. Take the opportunity to gaze upon the bay. Essaouira is partly sheltered by the island of Mogador, providing a tranquil harbor safeguarded from the strong marine winds.
As the horizon embraces both the ocean and Essaouira, we set our course for Marrakech, the 'Red City'. Marrakech is a magnet for tourists, celebrated for the unique experiences it offers. Such is its fame that, in some places, Morocco itself is synonymously referred to as 'Marrakech'. The city's residents are well-known for their infectious sense of humor and vivacious spirits. Upon arriving in Marrakech, located 244 km from Casablanca, we secure our accommodation at a hotel.
A year may scarcely suffice to fully immerse oneself in all that Marrakech has to offer, yet a single day’s exploration is undoubtedly better than none. During this day, accompanied by a highly qualified tourist guide, we will delve into the beauty of the 'Red City'. We'll seize the opportunity to gain insights into its traditional markets and historical edifices, such as the majestic Koutoubia Mosque and authentic riads. Moreover, no visit to Marrakech would be complete without experiencing the bustling Jamaa El-Fena. This square pulsates with energy, drawing you in with its vibrant bazaars offering stunning, authentic accessories. Jamaa El-Fena also serves as a gathering place for storytellers, snake charmers, and purveyors of traditional fare. After soaking in these rich experiences, we will retreat to our hotel for the night.
The 14th day of our 15 days tour from Casablanca is truly special. Having familiarized ourselves with Marrakech through our guided tour, navigating the city on our own now feels more accessible. You'll have the chance to revisit the bazaar shops in Jamaa El-Fena, where searching for souvenirs to bring back home becomes an adventure in itself. These shops boast an array of products, from traditional attire to handcrafted accessories. Additionally, while in Jamaa El-Fena, embracing the local culture with a Henna tattoo is an experience not to be missed.
On the 15th day of our tour from Casablanca, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Marrakech. Our journey takes us to Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca, readying you for your return flight. Alternatively, should you wish to extend your stay and delve deeper into the wonders of Morocco, we can arrange accommodations at a hotel.
