Breakfast. Start your full day journeying from Marrakech, where you'll be picked up early from your accommodation. Head towards the High Atlas Mountains, where the breathtaking Tizi-n-Tichka pass awaits at 2,260 meters elevation, offering unmatched views.
Then, continue to the iconic Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, one of the top places to visit in Morocco. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its traditional Moroccan earthen architecture and as a filming location for movies such as 'Gladiator' and 'Lawrence of Arabia.' Explore this historic site before moving on to Ouarzazate, the cinema city, to visit the Atlas Studio and the Taourirt Kasbah, diving into the area’s rich cinematic history.
Proceed along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, exploring the Ounela Valley and the small Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Talouet. Journey through Skoura and reach Kelaat M'Gouna, the capital of the Valley of the Roses. Depending on the season, you might experience the vibrant annual Rose Festival.
The day concludes at the Dades Gorges, a paradise for climbers and trekkers with its dramatic rock formations. Stay overnight in a first-class hotel or riad, enjoying dinner and the tranquil beauty of the Dades Valley under the stars. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
Breakfast. Then around 8:00 am pickup from your hotel to start your full day tour visiting the breathtaking Todgha Gorges in Tinghir. The journey will take you through the scenic landscapes of the Dades and Todra Rivers, bordered by lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. The Todgha Gorge offers stunning views and a chance to watch rock climbers on its massive cliffs.
Then visiting the town of Tinghir, known for its beautiful walking paths near fresh water and traditional Berber shops. These shops provide a cultural experience where you can try on traditional attire and learn about local customs without any pressure to purchase.
Continue your tour through Ksar Malaab, Ksar Touroug, and the Jorf palm grove, famous for its fine dates, and make a stop in Erfoud, renowned for its fossil deposits. Explore the geological history with a local expert and enjoy a traditional lunch in nearby villages like Tinjdad.
End your day tour by a visit to the spectacular Sahara desert of Merzouga. Transfer from your vehicle to camels for an authentic desert experience. Camel trek across the serene sands towards a luxury desert camp by the Erg Chebbi dunes. Try sandboarding as the sun sets, capturing the enchanting desert ambiance.
The day concludes with a traditional Moroccan dinner at the camp, where you'll also spend the night. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Merzouga.
You will have your breakfast meal at the camp early in the morning and then meet your guide to start your amazing Merzouga trip.
First, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the Sahara Desert from a high mountain near the dunes, then head towards the local nomadic families near the Moroccan/Algerian border. You’ll learn about their culture and share traditional tea under their tents.
The journey continues to the historical M’ifis mascara mountain mine, where you’ll explore the mining processes. Next, visit Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music and the famous Berber Pizza.
After, transfer to the Sahara Oasis for a peaceful walk among the almond, palm, and fig trees. In the late afternoon, you'll prepare for a camel ride through the dunes, stopping atop a high dune for sunset photos.
At the well-equipped desert camp, you are greeted with Moroccan tea and cookies. Enjoy a dinner prepared by the camp staff and then a night of music and dancing under the stars.
You’ll be transferred back to the hotel in Merzouga after witnessing a stunning sunrise the next morning. Explore more highlights, including ancient mines and Flamingos Lake, and enjoy optional activities like quad biking and buggy riding.
You will have your breakfast meal at the camp early in the morning and then either ride a camel or travel by a 4x4 vehicle to the village of Merzouga to mark the end of your intimate desert experience.
First, we'll explore Rissani, a historic town famous for its expansive souk and bustling sheep and cattle markets. Afterward, we'll head to Hddou Camp Farm in Tazoulait to savor Moroccan tea. Our journey then takes us through Alnif and Tazarine, with a stop in N'Koub for a refreshing lunch and immerse ourselves in flavors of Morocco.
Then, we head towards Ouarzazate along the breathtaking Anti-Atlas Mountains, exploring the cinematic city that has been featured in many Hollywood films. After lunch in Ouarzazate, the trip progresses through the scenic Draa Valley and Agdz, showcasing diverse landscapes.
The return journey to Marrakech will take about nine hours, ascending the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the Tizi n Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, which offers extraordinary views.
Upon arrival in Marrakech around sunset, you will be comfortably dropped off at your hotel. This drive provides numerous opportunities to capture the varied vistas of Morocco one last time. Overnight in Marrakech, reflecting on the memories of the journey.
